At Consul, we believe a fine writing instrument should provide a lifetime of enjoyment. Every Consul writing instrument is backed by our Unlimited Lifetime Warranty against manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

This warranty applies to all authentic Consul writing instruments, regardless of the date of purchase.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, we will repair or replace your writing instrument in accordance with the terms below.

What Is Covered

Our warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship.

If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Consul will repair or replace the product at no charge.

If the original model has been discontinued or cannot be repaired, we will replace it with the same model whenever possible. If the original model is no longer available, it will be replaced with a comparable Consul product.

What Is Not Covered

Our warranty does not cover:

normal wear and tear resulting from regular use
routine maintenance and cleaning
accidental damage, including damage caused by dropping, impact or improper handling
misuse or abuse
modifications or customization
repairs or alterations performed by unauthorized parties
damage caused by the use of inks not clearly identified as suitable for fountain pens
loss or theft of the product

Because many Consul products involve hand finishing and individual craftsmanship, slight variations in color, pattern or finish are natural characteristics of the product and should not be considered manufacturing defects.

Warranty Service

If you believe your writing instrument has a manufacturing defect, please contact the authorized Consul retailer from whom it was purchased or contact us directly at support@consulpen.com.

To help us evaluate the issue, we may ask you to provide photographs, a brief description of the problem and proof of purchase.

In many cases, the issue can be assessed remotely. If inspection of the writing instrument is required, our team will provide you with further shipping instructions.

Customers are responsible for the cost of shipping the product to our service center, including postage, insurance and appropriate packaging.

Following inspection, if a manufacturing defect is confirmed, Consul will repair or replace the product in accordance with this warranty.

Repairs & After-Sales Service

Not every issue is covered by warranty, but our support does not end when the warranty does.

If your writing instrument has been accidentally damaged, requires replacement parts or simply needs professional attention, we encourage you to contact us before attempting any repairs.

Our service team will review the issue and may ask you to provide photographs or a short video showing the problem. In many cases, this allows us to recommend the most suitable solution without requiring you to send the product to us.

Depending on the nature of the issue, we may:

recommend a simple solution you can perform yourself

supply replacement parts when available
offer a paid repair service
recommend returning the writing instrument for inspection or repair
offer a replacement when repair is not practical

Repair options, availability of replacement parts and associated costs may vary depending on the model and the nature of the damage.

Our Commitment

We are committed to making both warranty and after-sales service straightforward and transparent. Every request is carefully reviewed, and we will always recommend the solution that best restores the functionality and appearance of your writing instrument.

If you are ever unsure whether an issue is covered by warranty, please contact us. We’ll be happy to review your case and guide you through the available options.
